First Bite, a program from Betterbite.vc for idea- or early-stage start-ups based in the Asia Pacific region working on climate friendly solutions for rice production, palm oil, cocoa/coffee, fertilizer, or food waste, is accepting applications through April 30.

Deals and funding

RePurpose Global, a “plastic action platform,” acquired Bluebird Climate, a sustainability software company that helps consumer brands assess, improve, and communicate the environmental performance of their products, ingredients, and packaging.

Rodinia Generation, based in Copenhagen, raised €3M for its on-demand microfactories aimed at reducing textile overproduction.

Cultimate Foods, based in Berlin, raised €2.3M for its cell-cultivated fat ingredient for plant-based meat products.

Sorted, based in the London, raised €1.9M for its AI-powered waste sorting technology.
